Lego Architecture

Ok, I know I'm a bit late on this one seeing how the Lego Architecture series was launched in 2008, but I love it!  And now they've introduced a couple of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings to the line!  These would make a great addition to my miniature building collection!...
"The LEGO® Group and Adam Reed Tucker are excited to bring you this new line of distinctive landmark building sets. Our hope is that this will inspire minds of all ages whether you’re young and eager to learn or young at heart and simply intrigued by these modern day marvels. The idea behind LEGO© Architecture is to celebrate the past, present and future of architecture through the LEGO Brick."

Lonny Magazine

I finally got around to checking out the new Lonny Magazine and I must say, it's AWESOME! Considering its created by former Domino Magazine editors that's not very surprising.  It's an online publication and a few perks come with that... First off, no subscription needed and even more exciting is the ease in which you can navigate through and if you like what you see, just click on an image to be linked to the source's website.  I can't wait for the next issue!

Muu

Children's furniture has gotten more and more expensive over the past few years and many people find it hard to spend so much money on furniture that their kids will quickly outgrow. Family-owned furniture designer/manufacturer, Muu, has thought of a few ways to remedy that problem, 1: Every piece from Muu's collection can be personalized with a Muu Panel that is attached with magnets for easy replacement, so you can update the furniture as your child's taste changes, 2: With the conversion kit, you can turn the crib into a toddler bed, giving you a few more years out of the piece.  Not to mention the panels (which can be customized with your child's name) are adorable.

Radiator Envy

Radiators are usually considered a nuisance, an eyesore that people try to hide in one way or another... but these radiators make me wish I had that problem!

Icing on the cake...

Clockwise from top left:  The Bag by i-radium, Hug by DAS, Silhouette by Daniel Ashley for Bisque, and my FAVORITE: the Heat Wave by Joris Laarman for Droog (of course..Droog is awesome)  And if you can't afford one of these rads, the Natural Wave radiator plate by Byung-seok You makes even the old school radiators look cool (although I still can't find a source for purchasing it).

Bench2

“A chair+ a (duck-legged) chair+ a chair+ a chair+ a chair+ a chair ⇒ a bench.”
- Jo Nagasaka, designer
Nagasaka of Schemata Architecture Office created this "bench" out of 6 chairs and a plank of wood (and some magazines in this case).  So simple, yet so genius (in my opinion)... basically, if you have a dinner party (or any event) you can double your seating with just a plank of wood! I love it!

Stylish Pets

It used to be if you wanted a pet house/bed you had to go to some big commercial pet store and chose between tacky and tackier...no more!  It seems like everywhere you look there's a new designer product for your pet...the only downside is the designer price point.  Here are some of the many choices...

Clockwise from top: the Dwell series from Urban Pet Haus, Shed from Luxxbox, the Copenhagen Cat Condo from Ree Yong,  Olive's Cat House from Leo Kempf, the Architectura Condo from Pre-Fab Pets, the Hunde Hus from The Modern Dog, and Eddie's Room Cat Cave by The Pet Project.

Motley

This amazing footstool/ottoman by SCP was designed by textile designer Donna Wilson.  The Motley is a button-tufted, hand-knitted wool footstool inspired by the classic Chesterfield sofa and is available in 4 colourways.  This one definitely goes on my "if I were rich" list!
